Where to meet your driver at CDG after landing

A simple terminal-by-terminal guide to meeting your driver at Charles de Gaulle — so you are not wandering between T1, T2 and T3 with tired legs.

Once you have cleared passport control and collected your bags, head to the official arrivals hall — your driver will meet you inside with a name board. CDG splits T1, T2 (letters A–G) and T3 into separate buildings; a quick check on the flight screens before you leave the gate area saves a lot of walking.

What affects your timing

  • Meet-and-greet happens inside arrivals — much easier than trying to coordinate on the curb.
  • T2 sectors (2A–2G) are linked by shuttle; the wrong letter can add 10–20 minutes.
  • Free Wi‑Fi at CDG lets you send a quick message once your bag appears on the belt.
  • After a long-haul flight, passport queues can add 30–45 minutes — totally normal.
  • Low-cost flights at T3 sometimes include a bus ride from the plane to the terminal.

Where to go after landing

TerminalMeeting pointTypical exit time
Terminal 1Central arrivals hall, level 0 — look for your name board near the exit doorsAbout 35–55 min after landing (Schengen)
Terminal 2E (long-haul)Arrivals hall after passport and bags — stay inside until you see your driverAbout 60–90 min after landing
Terminal 2F (Schengen)Compact hall — your driver is usually near the main information deskAbout 25–40 min after landing
Terminal 3 (low-cost)One main hall — through the arrivals doors to the indoor meet pointAbout 30–50 min (bus from plane may add a little)

Times vary with queues and baggage — a short message when you join the passport line helps your driver plan calmly.

Common situations

Schengen flight, carry-on only

The quickest path — gate to arrivals hall in one building, no baggage belt.

A quick message when you land — pickup usually 15–25 minutes later.

US arrival at 2E

Passport and baggage lines can build up when several long-haul flights land together.

Share your flight number when booking — we track landing time and adjust for you.

Landing at T2G

Some flights park at remote T2G — the free CDGVAL train connects you to the main T2 sectors.

Follow the CDGVAL signs and let your driver know you landed at 2G.

Travelling with children

Strollers sometimes come out on the oversized baggage belt — nothing unusual.

Request a child seat when booking; meeting inside the hall keeps everyone comfortable.

Easy to overlook

  • Heading outside to "where the taxis are"

Your pre-booked driver waits inside — stepping outside often starts a confusing phone back-and-forth.

  • Thinking all "Terminal 2" flights share one entrance

2A and 2F are different buildings — your boarding pass letter is worth a glance.

  • Switching off data before a quick update to your driver

Airport Wi‑Fi works fine for a simple "at the baggage belt" message — it helps more than you might think.

Getting ready

  1. 1

    Glance at the terminal screens

Confirm T1, your T2 letter, or T3 as you leave the jet bridge.

  2. 2

    Through passport and baggage

When you join a queue or spot your bag, a short message to your driver is perfect.

  3. 3

    Walk to the meet point

Stay in the arrivals hall until you see your name on the board.

  4. 4

    Head to the car together

Your driver knows the official pickup lane for your terminal — just follow along.

Frequently asked questions

Can my driver wait at the curb with the engine running?
CDG limits curb waiting, so meet-and-greet inside arrivals is the comfortable and reliable way.
What if my bag is delayed or lost?
File a report with the airline first, then let your driver know — a reasonable wait is usually fine.
I landed at 2A but my driver is at 2F — what now?
Take the free CDGVAL or shuttle between T2 sectors — about 5–10 minutes. Sending your terminal letter right after landing prevents this.
Is meet-and-greet included?
Yes on standard CDG transfers — if you expect a long immigration queue, mention it when booking so we can plan kindly.
